Tally is a native macOS menu-bar app that measures which apps and websites your time goes to, subtracts idle time and sleep, and keeps every record on your own Mac.

Tally sits in your menu bar and quietly measures which apps and websites your time actually goes to. At the end of the day you get the shape of it: a timeline you can read, the apps ranked, the sites ranked, and the whole thing grouped into categories.

How it works
- Install it and answer nothing - Tally records the frontmost app, and never counts time you spend away.
- Grant Accessibility to see the window or document you were in - and, for Firefox, which site was open.
- Grant Automation for your browser to group time by website instead of under "Google Chrome".
- Read it in the window, the menu bar or a desktop widget - and cap any row with a daily limit.
Buying and licensing
Yes. The checkout is pay what you want and zero is a valid amount. You get exactly the same lifetime license as someone who pays the suggested price.
Every Swiftfox app unlocks with a key, and this one's key simply costs nothing. Get it from the store at $0 and it arrives by email. Skip that and the download still runs in full for 30 days on its own.
No. The license is yours for good, on up to 3 Macs, with no renewal and no in-app purchase. The studio sells an optional subscription covering every app, but nothing here is behind it.
No sign-up anywhere. The key goes to whichever email you check out with, and the app never asks you to log in.
