Await on macOS: the countdown list, the pinned menu bar countdown and the full-screen celebration

Await is a native macOS countdown app that pins your next event to the menu bar, counts down in the event's own time zone, and celebrates full-screen on every display when it arrives.

The big day, always one glance away.

Await is a countdown for the dates and events you actually care about - a flight home, a release date, a kid's birthday. Track as many as you like; the next one stays pinned to the menu bar while the rest wait their turn in the popover.

Features

  • Track all your countdowns in a single list
  • The next countdown stays pinned to the menu bar
  • Full-screen celebration or a notification when it hits
  • Celebrations run on every connected display
  • Repeats roll forward - daily, weekly or monthly
  • Time-zone aware - counts down in the event's own zone
  • Pick an SF Symbol icon; count down to the minute
  • Works entirely offline - nothing leaves your Mac

How it works

  1. Add an event with a date, time zone and an SF Symbol icon - count down by the day or right to the minute.
  2. Pin the one you want up front; Await counts it down in the menu bar, and recurring events roll forward on their own.
  3. When the moment arrives, Await celebrates with a calm full-screen animation on every display, then steps aside.
