1. Turn on a rule - sort by type, collect screenshots, or build your own from conditions like type, name, size or age.
2. Point a rule at Downloads, your Desktop or any folder; auto rules file new files as they land, manual rules wait for Run.
3. Check the Activity Log anytime and hit Undo on any batch to put things back - even after a relaunch.
4. Open Cleanup for a second pass: duplicates, archives already unpacked, old installers and files you filed and forgot. Nothing is ticked for you, and what you choose goes to the Trash.

## Frequently asked questions

### Does Sweep ever delete my files?

No. Removals go to the Trash, never straight to deletion, and every batch is recorded so it can be reversed.

### How far back can I undo?

Any batch in the Activity Log, with one click, and the log survives a relaunch. Automation that touches your files is only worth having if reversing it is as cheap as running it.

### Do I have to learn a rule syntax?

No. Rules are built from plain conditions - type, name, size, age - with no rule language and no regular expressions to write.

### What about files that are only in iCloud?

Online-only iCloud files are skipped rather than half-moved, so a rule cannot trigger a download or leave a placeholder somewhere unexpected.
